An alcoholic beverage that has so much love, songs have been written about it. This drink is less likely to give you a hangover, and it’s been said that:

“There are no bad whiskeys on the market!”

But every person has their own favorite type. Let’s take a look at 12 most popular whiskey brands in the market these days!

Amrut whiskey is actually from India and is also aged in oak barrels. You’ll notice a sweet and herbal aroma while tasting fruit, citrus, biscuit and even toffee flavors. As the whiskey goes down your throat, you’ll taste a sweet apricot flavor that is also a little bit spicy at the end.

This is a new brand that was just launched in 2004!

Brand #11 – Suntory

Suntory whisky bottles

A Japanese whiskey that has been around since 1923. Produced in the famous Yamazaki distillery, this brand has the biggest market share in all of Japan for single malt whiskey. The aroma of Suntory is simply amazing!

Chivas Regal is a brand meant for “grown-ups.” Traced all the way back to 1801, this name was introduced by the Chivas brothers, and is marketed as a Scotch whiskey. This brand offers a flavor that is infused with honey, fruits, and herbs that leave a lingering taste in your palate.

The perfect whiskey for a rich and smooth taste!

Brand #9 – Forty Creek

Forty Creek bottles

A Canadian company that was founded in 1992 and offers a variety of different whiskeys. In 2014 it was bought by an Italian beverage company, but that hasn’t diluted the delicious taste and the way that this whiskey is made. Copper pots are used to ensure flavor, and barley, rye and corn are used to produce a vintage taste.

You’ll enjoy the smooth and mellowness of Forty Creek. Honey, vanilla and apricot infuse this whiskey with a delicate flavor.

Brand #8 – Parker’s Heritage

Parkers Heritage bottles

Parker’s Heritage offers their heritage malt whiskey, which was introduced in 2015, and has a delightful chocolate taste. A Kentucky malt whiskey, it contains 65% malted barley and 35% corn and has been kept in charred oak barrels for a delightful taste!

Brand #7 – Laphroaig

Laphroaig bottles

Another Scottish whiskey brand that was founded at the same time as Ardbeg. We’re not sure about the connection between the two names, but we do know that this is one of the strongest whiskeys out of Scotland!

This whiskey has a smoky flavor, and comes in several different vintages, such as 10-year, 18-year, and you’ll even find rare 27-, 30- and 40-year-old vintages.

Brand #6 – Jameson

Jameson is a brand that distills their whiskey three times. John Jameson, the famous creator, came up with the idea to offer triple distillation and has turned this brand into the best in the world.

Known for its unique taste, this is one brand of whiskey you must give a try!

Brand #2 – NIKKA

NIKKA whisky bottles

NIKKA’s founders are from Japan but traveled to Scotland in 1918 to learn how to make whiskey in a Scottish distillery. Several whiskeys are produced under the brand: Ben Nevis, Yoichi and From the Barrel. From the Barrel (my favorite) has a medium-body smell with notes of fruits, spices, oak, and flowers.

The taste is of winter spice and toffee with caramel and vanilla.

An 80-proof whiskey that is produced in Dublin. This brand is specifically brewed for Mitchell & Son and is considered one of the best whiskeys in the world. The exact heritage of the brand is uncertain, but just 6,000 bottles are produced per year.

This vintage offers spicy and soft tastes with green woods, oaks, and a creamy vanilla long finish!
